Part 7: Deploying aWeb site 207 Deploying a dynamic WEBDEV site The different types of deployment WEBDEV offers three methods for deploying a dynamic site (Session site or AWP): • deployment by physical media (CD-ROM, etc.) of the WEBDEV site, with creation of a setup version supplied on CD-ROM to the hosting company. Development computer Install the WEBDEV site and configure the administrator 2 Hosting company 1 Create a setup program on a physical media (CD ROM, ...) 3 Implement the site (start link) Remark : a WEBDEV Application Server can be included in the setup supplied by physical media. • remote deployment directly from the development computer (by file transfer via Internet in HTTP mode) . Development computer Configuration of the FTP server and account manager 1 Hosting company 2 Install the site by FTP 3 Implement the site (start link) Remark : It is also possible to perform a deployment by file transmission in FTP mode. In this case, the hosting company must configure an FTP server.
